The Grover Cleveland Park Conservancy was formed in 2001 with the goal to assist the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs maintain, restore, and enhance this beautiful park nestled on the border of Essex Fells and Caldwell. The Conservancy serves as the park’s advocate; members stroll through the park daily keeping the Park System apprised of maintenance and safety needs.
The Conservancy fundraises to augment the county’s budget so that needed improvements can be made in a timely fashion.
The partnership between the Conservancy and Essex County Park System is supported and encouraged by Essex County Executive, Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr., the Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the Essex County Park System. The Conservancy and county work well together identifying and addressing safety, maintenance and enhancement concerns.

Enhance entrances with new species of trees and shrubs
Remove invasive species throughout park
Replace lost trees
Maintain trees (remove & prune as necessary)
Clean up pond
Bring back children’s programs
Art gallery in 1 or both buildings
Implement Olmsted planting plan
Movies in the park under the stars
