Grover Cleveland Park has come a long way since the Conservancy’s inception in 2001. To fulfill our mission for the restoration, maintenance, and enhancement of Grover Cleveland Park, we’ve created a safer playground for our children, refurbished some of the trails through the woods, and have begun to replace the more than 200 trees that have been died or been destroyed in recent storms.
Just in 2017, the Conservancy has, with your help, planted:
- 6 new Linden trees in Linden Allée
- 3 new Dogwood trees at the end of Linden Allée to provide a spot of color and interest for all
- 2 new Dogwood and 2 new Holly trees in the triangle by the Bowers Road entrance to add color and interest and prevent additional soil erosion
- 2 new Holly Trees in the Buttonwood Road parking lot to add year-round color and a winter food source for local birds
We can’t do it without the support of volunteers and donors. Where the county’s budget runs short, the Conservancy intends to augment projects with fundraising donations. Having a strong membership base not only helps us to fund our mission, but also shows others that we have the backing of the community. This is vital when applying for grants or making appeals to the county for funding or making maintenance requests. You can make a difference in helping to preserve and maintain this gem in our community!
Every donor dollar helps directly with the work of the Conservancy. As a donor, you will receive a quarterly newsletter and email notification of events. Encourage your friends and neighbors to support the Grover Cleveland Park Conservancy by becoming a volunteer or making a donation. Every act of generosity counts, and each means even more when we give together.
The Conservancy urges you to help create a better community by joining our efforts through donations and volunteerism. You are the most important part of this community, and our members are vital to the Park’s success.
The Grover Cleveland Park Conservancy is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
